From late 2019, the world has come to a standstill amidst this pandemic. 2021 is no different since everyone is currently trying to adjust to the new normal that if we cannot do away with it, we will have to live with it. Isn’t that risky? Well, taking precautions is what will put a clear gap between your life and death.
Covid-19 is a disease that began softly before it became a pandemic. It is caused by a strain of coronavirus. This disease was formerly known as the 2019 novel coronavirus or 2019-nCoV. Covid-19 is an abbreviation where CO stands for corona, VI stands for the virus, and D for the disease. This disease is connected to the same family of viruses that have once been a pandemic, such as SARS, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, and other types of the common cold.
There is more than the medical practitioners are learning about how the virus affects people daily in 2021. No one is safe from this kind of disease. People with chronic diseases such as heart disease or older people are more vulnerable to developing severe symptoms and covid attacks. It is a new attack, and how it affects the children too is part of the research. Despite all the knowledge and research revolving around the viruses and who is more vulnerable than the other, we ensure our clients are safe from any threat by taking the safety measures and guidelines put to us by the WHO.
Staff and patients wearing masks
Covid-19 is an infectious disease that spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets. These droplets travel through the air when you cough, shout, sneeze, sing or talk. If you have the virus, it might be easy to transfer it to people around you because they might breathe in the droplets.
We ensure that all through our sessions, our patients and staff are encouraged to use their masks, in line with the guidelines. The use of masks acts as a barrier to help stop your respiratory droplets from coming into contact with others. The spray of droplets can be reduced when masks are worn over the nose and mouth.
Masks are worn whether you are sick or not because studies have since shown that people found with covid-19 who don’t develop symptoms, also known as asymptomatic, or those who don’t show any symptoms, pre-symptomatic can still spread the virus to the people surrounding them. With our staff and patients wearing masks, it is easier to protect those around them in case they are affected but not showing any symptoms. please, whether visiting us or not, using your facemask is essential.
Taking temperature
Temperature checks alone can’t help fight the virus. However, body temperature is an early warning sign of infection and it is among the first line of defense that we use to ensure no threat is around. Workplace temperature testing has been made common around our workplace, for all our operational hours. With temperature taking, we can easily track your body temperature and provide early warning signs of fever and infection.
We value our staff and patients, which is why we know how important it is to take temperature and know if any of them has a fever.
Cleaning service to disinfect
For any business operating in the post-covid-19 era, keeping the premise clean for 24 hours is part of the covid precautions which is essential. Since we operate amidst the pandemic, we ensure the workplace is clean, which is critical in combating the spread of this disease. Appropriate cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces that may be suspected of contamination is part of the safety measures we have taken to make sure our patients are in good health and shape.
Covid precautions questionnaire
We ensure all our clients are pre-screened by phone before any scheduled appointment. We won’t schedule an appointment if the client cannot be reached in advance. However, at our clinic, we have put in place a covid precautions questionnaire that you will be guided through by our clinic reception.
We have in place the covid precautions and are doing all it takes to protect our clients and staff in these trying times. In addition to that, we ask our clients to check if they should be self-isolating. for more information regarding the safety measure we have taken, please feel free to reach us through our phone contact.
