Tariq Jah DDS

Tariq Jah DDS

Originally from P.G. County Maryland, Dr. Jah moved to North Carolina in 2015 and hasn’t looked back since! Dr. Jah attended the University of Maryland where he received his Bachelor of Science. He then decided to continue to work toward his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist when he attended the University of North Carolina, Adams School of Dentistry, and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. While in dental school, Dr. Jah was very active in community service, having helped run a free dental clinic for the low-income/underserved community in Durham, which led to him receiving the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship.

When asked what his favorite part of dentistry is, Dr. Jah did not hesitate in stating that it was education. “Being able to inform patients about ways to improve and maintain their oral health is of extreme importance to me.” He also enjoys volunteering at free dental clinics to provide dental care for the underserved.

Dr. Jah is committed to learning about more advanced treatment through continuing education courses to expand the services that he can provide to his patients. Dr. Jah is also a part of a Spear Study Club, in which he meets monthly with other local general dentists and dental specialists that focus on comprehensive and interdisciplinary care for patients. Dr. Jah is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Old North State Dental Society, and North Carolina Dental Society. As a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, Dr. Jah serves as a delegate where he represents, advocates, and votes on legislation affecting dentists and patients in his community.

When Dr. Jah is not providing quality dental care to his patients, Dr. Jah can be found playing with his dog Kobe, working out, traveling the world, hiking, or more than likely at a local restaurant trying out new food!

Dr. Jah is happy to have recently joined North Point Dental Associates and contribute to the quality dental work that we provide for our community.
